Christmas Card Tutorial

Hi everyone,
this weekend I tried out a new technique that I found on youtube ages ago. I tried to make a little tutorial for you guys, so you can try it out yourself. I promise that it is great fun to do!!! I created around 30 christmas cards this weekend, because the weather was just like in winter. Here is what you need:
  • thicker printing paper or any other thicker paper (180g I think it´s called)
  • old newspapers or old paper
  • paper napkins with pictures or nice backgrounds
  • craft iron and iron board
  • cling film
And now I will tell you how to do it:
  • You have to put newspapers or any paper on your iron board and place the piece of paper you want to do the technique on, on top of it. I found it easier to use an A4 sheet of paper instead of a small card and rather cut it into the size I want later.
  • The you place the cling film on top of the paper.
  • The next part is chosing your paper napkin. Pull off the top layer and place it onto the cling film.
  • Again add old paper or newspapers (sometimes the letters come off to your pictures, so I rather use old paper) and iron it.
  • The cling film will melt the paper napkin on the paper and it really makes a nice texture. You can use any napkin you like and it really makes great cards and backgrounds! If there is a corner not really attached to the paper you can correct it by carefully ironing the card.
Here is one of my finished cards, I will present the others to you in the next couple of posts:
I hope you will have as much fun as I had creating those cards!!!

Have a nice day,
Zoe

R is for Roses

Hi there,
This week I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the Alphabet Challenge Blog. The theme this week was "R is for Roses" and I tried again to make an Easel Card. I used paper scraps, a digital images, lace and self-made crocheting flowers. I coloured the image with coloured pencils and added some glitter. I really hope you like my card and that it inspires you to create beautiful projects with roses!

Have a nice day,
Zoe

Scrapbook a Tag

Good afternoon again,

Kard Krazy has a really cool challenge today. They want us to create a tag in the same way we would create a scrapbook page. Two weeks ago I showed you the tag I had done with my Grandma on it. For the same purpose, a vintage family book, I created a little tag with my Granddad. It will be part of a page one day. Hopefully I can get the work started soon!

Here is my tag:Unfortunately it didn´t came out in the way I imagined it. But I hope the page will look great in the end....

Birthday Card

Hi there,Today I created a little birthday card for a friend in Australia. I really love the paper I used, it´s from the TLC Girls Kit, but I think that the company doesn´t even exist anymore. But I don´t know... I hope you like it! I will enter it to the "Photo Inspiration" Challenge at C.R.A.F.T.
See you later and have a nice day,
Zoe

Goodbye Card

Hi,
It´s me again...One of my friends is going to Canada for a while, so I used the Moving Along with the Times sketch to create a card for her. Here´s what came out of it:

No Paper...

Hi there,
I´m back from my holidays by the sea...and started crafting as soon as I got back. Luckily some of the challenges used the "By the sea"-theme, so I´m able to dream about my holidays a little bit longer. Kard Krazy wanted us to create a tag this week without using paper as the background. I have a roll of wallpaper here to recycle, so I used that and created this scene with the iris folding technique. I did use paper for the boat, but the tag itself is wallpaper. The ship is from the Circle of Crafters, you should check their website, they have free templates for iris folding.I will enter this tag into the following challenges:
Kard Krazy: No paper
Tuesday Taggers: Messing about in boats
Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog: Recycle something

The theme was "Western" and you had to create a card plus one other item. My other item is a tag, where I can write the name of the "Little Cowboy" on the back. I hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by,
Zoe

Just a little work today...

Hi guys,
I´m working at the Champions Trophy in hockey at the moment so I don´t have that much time to craft. But I didn´t participate in the Kard Krazy Challenge for two weeks and I really wanted to do it this time. This week a guest hostess gave us a template and I made this out of it:
It´s a photo of my grandma from 1949 and I use it for a vintage family book that I´m going to create. Hope you like it!
